Processing & Shipping Policies
Most dimensional lumber are cut at the time of order. Oftentimes our popular clearance items are made on-demand because we can't keep them stocked.
We kindly ask up to 10 business days (Feb - Aug) and 15 (Sept - Jan) to allow the guys to get the order packed and ready to go.
You will get a notification with tracking number just before it leaves the shop.
Processing Time on Large Orders
If your order is more than 50 boards, please allow 15 to 20 business days for an order to be shipped completely. These orders usually need more than one shipment so we always try to get one shipment out quickly so you can get started on your project.
If you need expedited processing, contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we can check the production schedule. If it allows, we can extend a RUSH service charge to bump your order to the top of the schedule and get it out sooner. This is not always possible. Typically this charge is about $1 per board.
Questions About an Order
For questions or status on an order, please contact email@example.com.
Are you in a rush to get your boards? Email firstname.lastname@example.org, to see if we can accommodate your needs. Oftentimes we can extend a rush charge at about $1 per board to bump an order to the top of the list. During the busy season (Sept - Jan), this may not be possible.
Wood is heavy and heavy means expensive when it comes to shipping. We've negotiated some really good rates with UPS and FedEx, and we've signed up with a vendor who can get huge discounts on USPS postage. We use an online service to search across multiple vendors (USPS, UPS, FedEx, SpeeDee Delivery) and shipping classes (Ground, Overnight, 2-day, etc.) to choose the least expensive method.
Shipping rates charged are what the vendor is charging us. We do not make money on shipping.
Different from expedited processing, this is how you want your items sent to you. Typically we search across multiple vendors (USPS, UPS, FedEx, SpeeDee Delivery) and classes (Ground, Overnight, 2-day, etc.) to choose the least expensive method. If you specify overnight shipping at checkout, that is what we will use.
